Elder Ian

Ian hit his one year anniversary as a missionary on February 15, 2013. He is loving life as a missionary. Its not always easy---its a lot of hard work, he tells me. But he is so happy to be serving. Here are some pics of him with Elder Folu, the zone, and other elders at the temple. Also, their weapons on the wall, just in case there is a zombie Apocalypse.
Be prepared. And he seems to send me photos often of food. The boy does love to eat!

E-MAN

Ethan's team had a GREAT season, winning the Regional Championship and finishing with a record of 22-1. Ethan is just getting started as his shoulder surgeries have 'benched' him before. He got the highest percentage of blocked shots, even though he never played more than 5 minutes in any one game. Doesn't hurt to be 6'7"! He improved greatly and can't wait for next year. The other kids and their parents were so welcoming of the boy from TEXAS.  They cheered him on like he had been here forever.  One dad nicknamed him "E-MAN!"  But more importantly, he had a great time making friends on the team and learning from two AMAZING coaches! They were truly a TEAM!

Each team member got to cut down a piece of the net from the championship game. Ethan had some REALLY dull scissors. Not sure if the extra cheering was just because he was finally done! :)
